About Me
Hello! Welcome to my website. My name is Katie and I am a pediatric speech-language pathologist, a wife and a mother of two young boys. I firmly believe in treating each child as a whole. Goals are determined with one question in mind - will this help the child be a happier, more effective communicator?
I come from an extended family steeped in education and children. Speech pathology perfectly combines my love for teaching with my desire to help children reach their full potential. I have experience working in early intervention, private school and collaborative private practice settings. After years of experience, I launched my private practice.
My specialties include: motor speech, early speech/language developmental, articulation, receptive and expressive language development, language processing, pre-literacy, social-emotional intelligence, tongue thrust, family coaching and more. I draw techniques from training and resources such as: Prompts for Restructuring Oral Muscular Phonetic Targets (PROMPT), dynamic tactile temporal cueing (DTTC), Floortime, Hanen Program, Social Thinking and more.
